Delivery Manager Tilburg

Job description

  • Responsible for further development of the existing transportation solutions relating to daily operations
  • Draft and issue transportation tenders (national & international parcel) regularly and prepare documentation to support with carrier selection
  • Identify and implement optimization projects for the entire flow of goods & information within the supply chain
  • Monitor carrier performance and propose suggestions relating to flow of goods: on-time delivery, quality and services, in coordination with Delivery Experience Management (if applicable)
  • Serve as an additional point of contact for communication with all last mile carriers as well as represent, and support the Delivery Management team internally on interdepartmental projects
  • Inspect incoming freight invoices for billing accuracy; file claims as necessary
  • Monitor the evolution of transportation costs, identify, and support on the opportunities to improve the process
  • Review the weekly parcel forecast and feedback on it
  • Develop a stable and reliable Return Process
  • Monitoring the lost & damaged parcel procedure
  • Support the Delivery Experience Managers and Contract & Innovation on the Business Review Meetings (BRMs) with the DSP’s

Requirements

  • HBO degree in business, ideally with a focus on Distribution logistics / Supply Chain
  • Sound experience in managing and purchasing transport services, preferably in parcel deliveries for B2C
  • Preferably experience with negotiating national and international transport tenders
  • In-depth understanding of supply chain management including its processes & dependencies
  • Advanced IT skills including MS Excel
  • Excellent understanding of logistic IT systems
  • Willingness to travel approximately
  • Dutch mother tongue, fluent in English, spoken and written
